I've loved cameras and photography since I was a girl growing up in Boston in an artistic family of painters and photographers. Shooting my small Kodak camera, I dreamed of working for LIFE magazine, traveling the world, and creating images that told wonderful stories. I didn't work for the magazine, but I did learn to shoot images that tell great stories and touch hearts. Landscapes, street photography, and black and white are my passions.

What makes a great photograph? A special moment, rapport, and a confident and skilled photographer. Pro photographers know two things about me: I wait for the emotion to reveal itself, and I know the moment to shoot.

I enjoy exhibiting my work as well as writing and illustrating people's stories for newspapers, magazines, and online.

In the Boston area, I am well known as an iPhone photographer artist; come to one of my shows or join one of my classes. I teach at Bolli/Brandeis, The Arnold Arboretum, Harvard, Brookline Adult Education, the Vilna Shul, and many other local venues, besides running my own Zoom instruction classes and walking tours.
